VC Zoldmali Java
We are incredibly fortunate to have had Java as part of our breeding program (retired from breeding after her last litter in 2025).
She is the one that started it all. She is an exceptional Wirehaired Vizsla, excelling in the field, home and the show ring.
Java is a true force in the field and leads our guiding string. She continues to impress with her endless drive, balanced by cooperation that allows her to find birds when others don’t. Methodical and intelligent, she knows which cover holds birds, handles heat better than most, loves the snow, and excels at difficult game recovery—always retrieving to hand with a soft mouth.
At home, Java has a calm, slightly goofy disposition that perfectly demonstrates the breed’s well-known “off switch.” She loves to dance to music and quietly sneaks into the bedroom when no one is looking to extend her nap time—often sleeping on her back with all four legs in the air.
Java was bred in Hungary and by just nine months of age, she won Best of Breed at her very first show in Europe—the CACIB Winter Dog Show.
With 11 months she passed the European AV, VAV, and VMV field and water tests in a single weekend. The VMV—typically completed by fully trained dogs over two years old—is required for a full champion title and entry into working class, comparable to NAVHDA Utility or HZP level.
After moving to join us in the U.S. in 2019, Java earned a perfect score in the NAVHDA Utility Test and competed at the 2020 Invitational, narrowly missing the Versatile Champion title due to handler error in the Honor at the Blind. Following a short maternity break, she requalified in 2025 and earned the coveted Versatile Champion title, joining an elite group of only four Wirehaired Vizslas in American breed history—becoming the fifth, followed by her niece Grit as the sixth the next day.
As the cornerstone of our breeding program, Java has produced exceptional offspring with limited & thoughtful breeding. We feel blessed and confident that her daughters, Beta and Blaze, will leave their own mark on the breed and our kennel.
Java has also passed all health screenings for breeding with outstanding results.
