Grit has been a breath of fresh air—training and hunting with her is an absolute joy. She combines tremendous cooperation with endless eagerness, learning quickly and excelling at everything asked of her. With a superb nose, exceptional water skills, and incredible drive to retrieve, she passed the NA with a Prize 1 max score. Early on, it was clear she had limitless potential.
Thanks to her exceptional water work, she is the go-to dog when loading the truck to head to the the duck blind. Yet she shines just as brightly in upland pursuits, whether searching for grouse in Michigan or chasing sharpies and pheasants in North Dakota & Iowa. She is the perfect representation of versatility that defines a true "Versatile Hunting Dog".
In the summer of 2024, after intense preparation, she earned a NAVHDA Utility Prize 1 score, qualifying her for the 2025 Invitational. There, she earned the prestigious Versatile Champion title, becoming only the sixth Wirehaired Vizsla in breed history to do so.
At home, Grit is always eager to be part of whatever we’re doing—whether napping nearby, supervising a landscaping project, or keeping watch over the BBQ from the porch.
Grit has passed all her breeding health screenings with flying colors, including earning her Orthopedic Foundation CHIC number with an “Excellent” rating on her hips. We are thrilled for her to pass on her exceptional genetics in the whelping box.
More adventures are ahead for this young lady. She even dabbled in Agility in the summer of 2023—and with more time, she could certainly earn titles in that field as well.
